Just look at what the American Music Program (AMPJazz to many) has accomplished in 2013!
- Our director Thara Memory won a Grammy for his arrangement of City of Roses on Esperanza Spalding's album Radio Music Society (which also received a Grammy) in February!
- AMPJazz was profiled on OPB's Art Beat, also in February
- We won Second Prize in the Conglomerate Big Band division at the Next-Generation Jazz Festival in April!
- We're appearing in a benefit concert at Jimmy Maks here in PDX on 4/22
- AMP then heads to NYC in May for the Essentially Ellington festival. UPDATE: Watch us compete live on Sat 5/11 after 11:30 am (PDT), courtesy of the Essentially Ellington folks!
