• Entire Jazz Orchestra: Essentially Ellington 2007- Conglomerate Band. Any band made up of students from different schools and any "all-star" band. The prize is a special clinic with pianist, Reginald Thomas.
  
• Entire Jazz Orchestra: Adjudicator's Choice at the 2007 Willamette University Jazz Fesfival where they got to open the evening concert with guest artist Shelly Berg.
  
• Entire Jazz Orchestra: Generous Scholarships to attend Berklee College of Music Summer Programs in 2006 and 2007.
  
• Entire Jazz Orchestra: Invitation to perform at the 2007 International Association for Jazz Educator's Conference in New York City.

  • Javier has made the 2008 Gibson/Baldwin Grammy Jazz Ensemble (Grammy Band), 2008 National Jazz Band of America, 2008 Clifford Brown/Stan Getz All stars Combo, 1 of only 5 H.S. musicians in the entire nation, and he was just Granted Silver Medal and $5,000 Scholarship from NFAA Young Arts for MUSIC/JAZZ/Jazz-Trombone. Javier has been nominated for The Presidential Scholars Program which could mean a trip to The White House to be honored by The President along with his teacher.
