Kiran
Bolsey, Trumpet
Kiran Bolsey has been playing
trumpet for two years. A Portland native, he played under Dan
Arrayan in the Sellwood Middle School Advanced Band as well as
the SMS Jazz Band.
Kiran is currently a freshman at
Cleveland High School and in the Cleveland Jazz I Band. This
will be his first year in the American Music Program.
Kiran has studied trumpet with
Craig Gibson and is currently studying with Thara Memory.
Kiran was awarded outstanding
soloist at the University of Portland Festival of Jazz and
named to the 2011 All City Honor Band. He was voted best male
musician at Sellwood Middle School in 2010. He hopes to study
jazz piano in the future.
